Default Bubble--ethical to stall until blinds go up?

This could apply to MTT as well, but I was in a $1+.20 STT on Poker Stars. Three places, four players left, I was third in chips, my stack and #4 were both less than two big blinds.

It's to me with 63o, blinds to go up in one minute. I used all of my time, including my one-shot 60 seconds of extra time, and folded. Next hand, the blinds went up, stack #4 was put all in by the bb. I was out two hands later, cashing in third place.

I certainly acted within the rules (amount of time allowed to bet), but was it ethical? Or would it be stupid to NOT act as I did in that situation?

Very very far from ethical. But not against the rules.
