am playing this hand badly should i be raising more? Also, is it a bad idea to be playing for his stack here?

I think your preflop raise is fine. On the turn I would have reraised him all in. Once you see him calling the flop, I would do whatever I could to get his stack in the middle on later streets.

Sure, you're worried about a set, but .01/.02 NL is filled with a LOT of players who are calling stations and who chase hands that they should not be chasing. I'm sure that if you push all in on this turn and get called, you will win far more times than you lose. I bet you will see far more hands like KT or KQ or A9 than you will a set. The river kind of screws you because he very likely could've been chasing with a seven. Another reason to reraise the turn. If you lost this hand, I would try to have a short memory over it and not let it affect how you play with AA after this.

Stats or info on opponent would help out your decision. This is a very read dependent spot.

That said, shove the turn if you're planning on calling his min-raise. Your hand has bad reverse implied odds.
