Re: Sbrugby edits blog...High Stakes players pissed?

Can someone clue me into why discussing your income is bad from an accounting/taxes standpoint? It's not like he's hiding this money from the IRS is he? [/ QUOTE ] He's not because he left the overall figure. |

Nothing has prevented more good brags than accounting fears. This looks like just another example.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Accountant. I'd wager money on it. [/ QUOTE ] makes sense although maybe some other players told him it was in bad taste to be sharing all the $$$ details of the match? [/ QUOTE ] This is still in there: "I won about 600K" "With this win I made 2.15 million dollars in four sessions over five days." [/ QUOTE ] Threw me for a loop as well, but still... it doesn't make sense to edit it for anyone's interest and still post any sort of numbers. |

Re: Sbrugby edits blog...High Stakes players pissed?

[ QUOTE ] I doubt the high stakes players were the ones who had a problem with it as Negreanu has been discussing details of his sessions for years. [/ QUOTE ] They don't mind when loser talk. [/ QUOTE ] There are books about this type of stuff wherein winning tens of millions is discussed. Not sure why this is any different. NCACes |

90% it's the other winners who asked him to take it down.

Re: Sbrugby edits blog...High Stakes players pissed?
I was actually going to say I was surprised earlier when he posted money results for himself and other players because nobody does that. I liked it because I have no life and it's fun to know these things but I would be surprised if anyone wants to have posts on the internet about them talking about how many hundreds of thousands they lost.
I haven't read the edited version yet but I'm guessing the dollar amounts he edited out are the losses of his opponents, not how much he won. |

Have most of the blog links on the left hand side of cardrunners been removed for anyone else? I have GPs bookmarked but on the left hand side there's only links to 4 others' blogs, one of which is not Brians

the gov't has no right to that money. to take $800,000 from rugby would be the same as committing a strong arm robbery. stand up to thieving terrorists!

[/ QUOTE ] Not from a personal perspective, however if he is reporting one thing and his opponents are reporting another, his opponents might not take too kindly to his informing the world what happened to both of them. |

Re: Sbrugby edits blog...High Stakes players pissed?
The winner or losers of the game might not want this printed in a public forum for a variety of reasons (taxes/backers taxes/ certain Bellagio CEOs who might want his gambling to seem reasonable/wives).
Also, if I remember right Negreanu only mentions certain players pots/wins/or loses if they say it is alright. He might mention who played but he doesn't specify who won what outside of his own results. Topset72 |
