Default JJ vs EP raiser all in on flop

Full Tilt Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

MP: $21.30
CO: $35.15
BTN: $60.85
SB: $33
Hero (BB): $25
UTG: $23.45

Pre-Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB)
UTG calls $0.25, MP raises to $1.10, 3 folds, Hero raises to $3.65, UTG folds, MP calls $2.55

Flop: ($7.65) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $5, MP raises to $17.65 and is All-In, Hero ???

Probably one of those gut-feel type spots. No reads or stats on villain - I've only played around 5 hands at the table here.

Should I not be re-raising this preflop if i'm not willing to felt a flop like this?

You need 29.5% equity, against 99+ you need 28.6%, once you factor in a few bluffs, this is an easy call[made easier because he's playing short] imo.

I really don't like blanket statements like this, but in this case this is definitely the case.

Villian has to feel pretty good about TT, 88, 66, 55, 44 on this board. I would call pretty quickly. I don't really see how we can justify folding an over pair to a short stack getting over 2:1 in a reraised pot.

Really? So you guys think villain is doing this with either TT, or TPTK? This doesn't seem as easy a call to me as you're suggesting, I'd like to hear more. In my opinion, villain is most likely doing this with a set or an overpair. If he has an overpair, then unless it's TT, we're still only drawing to 2 outs. I'm trying to learn so I'd really like to hear why this could be a call.

Im assuming at this level, against an unknown, he does not cold call with KK-AA here. This is a big assumption and please correct me if you think this is wrong.

I think he rarely has 22 here. 77-TT, QQ are a huge part of his range, along with less combos of A9 and AKs. With just QQ-77 its and easy call.

Board: 9h 7d 2c
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 49.697% 47.70% 02.00% 11805 495.00 { JcJh }
Hand 1: 50.303% 48.30% 02.00% 11955 495.00 { QQ-77 }

Throw in an A9 or AK and we get 60% equity. 2.5 to 1 on the river, easy call
