Also thought since Party was rid of the US market that they could no longer effect its stock price

[/ QUOTE ]

they reason for the rise from 40p to 58p was due to the increased belief that they would be allowed back into the US. Player numbers haven't increased particularly in the last 6 weeks (i think).

The US won't let online poker back without the sites paying heavy US tax. There is no point otherwise.

seems like very good news on the legislation front today (at least the best in awhile). what gives? are investors skeptical that party will either A) not be able to get a liscense in the US if/when it is allowed or B) not try?

these are the only things I can think of.

Thanks,
tc

Its called buying the rumoring and selling the news.

I have no idea what will happen with Party's stock, but stocks actually going down upon good news is pretty common.

Yahoo just introduced a new pokerroom today. So maybe that has something to do with it. http://uk.poker.games.yahoo.net/yaho...ots/index.html

I don't know if it is ettiquette to ask this in a forum thread, but can anyone give me the last EPS of PRTY and their current P/E? I've looked on both of my investing sites and can't find any information on the company's financial information.
Thanks in advance,

Current P/E 2,550. That's on the high end.

I chuckled.

On a more serious note, I'm pretty surprised at how low their earnings are. I'm tempted to not believe Google's number.

I thought EPS of .02 seemed low too, though according to Reuters, they reported an EPS of -.02 in Dec 2006.

Sometimes the EPS number used is a future EPS number, not the most recent EPS number.
