Preflop I probaly limp behind. Raising is obv fine too.

Flop bet and turn bet are fine.

River I like the bet and I like a fold.

what i said is a little counter-intuitive. if he's a donkey who limped AsXo then no way he's good enough to ever c/r bluff the river like that. if he's good enough to c/r the river like that, he would never limp AsXo. so fold.

and how could you hate the river bet? river bet is mandatory, not betting it is ridiculous.

If he's not limp-calling an ace, what are you guys putting him on? I don't think he'd play a set like this. I can see JTss I guess, but that's about it, unless he'd play JTo like this. Maybe 5d6d. I'd be too suspicious to fold here. It's tough to analyse since we don't know what unorthodox means.

[/ QUOTE ]Meh, both are really gross. Pretty sure that would have been mentioned in OP, that villain was bad instead of just weird.

Seems like it's played fine to me, checking the river seems nitty, but yeah this is a fold.

Should he expect you to bet the river often enough to make check-raising better than leading out on the river with a flush?

edit: I'm just being a bit of a devil's advocate. A fold looks good, but it does seem that you don't third barrel bluff TOO much and you are checking behind with a lot of made hands that would have called a bet.
