Default Re: Official \"it\'s not too early to start talking about Fantasy Footba

My draft is tomorrow 9/3 at 4:00

My league is full of players, so no real funny business draftwise.

I'm in a 12 team 1Q 2RB 2WR TE K D.
I have the 4th pick and wifi access so I plan on posting here and maybe getting some live feedback by anyone who may be hanging around. Regardless, I have a couple questions if you happen to have some insight, since most drafts are over and you have some time to digest everything.

I really don't want to [censored] up my first two picks.

Please put Gore Alexander Addai Johnson in order of value as you see it.

Also, I would imagine I'll need to choose between Jones-Drew, Edge, R. Brown so what is your value order on that.

Next, I don't want to mess up the next few rounds.

I realize there are a ton of variables here, but do I NEED to gp WR here or do I grab another RB or top tier QB if one is available?

Other than that, I would appreciate any of your top sleeper picks.

While I have your ear, any value tips of any kind would also be appreciated.

Thanks to all.

This is an 8 team league. I didn't really like my draft but I guess its ok. Standard scoring but passing tds = 6 pts. Start QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/K/DEF. I'd like some feedback.

I was trying to go for depth and value. I also had problems with bye weeks which is why I picked Colston over other recievers. Also I'm pretty high on Addai which is why I picked him over Gore/LJ/Alexander. Here is my draft.

1. (4) Joseph Addai RB
2. (13) Travis Henry RB
3. (20) Reggie Wayne WR
4. (29) Marques Colston WR
5. (36) Tom Brady QB
6. (45) Thomas Jones RB
7. (52) Chris Cooley TE
8. (61) Brandon Jacobs RB
9. (68) Mark Clayton WR
10. (77) Santonio Holmes WR
11. (84) Terry Glenn WR
12. (93) Donte' Stallworth WR
13. (100) Denver DEF
14. (109) Alex Smith QB
15. (116) Dallas DEF
16. (125) Greg Olsen TE
17. (132) Stephen Gostkowski K

1. (4) Joseph Addai RB Whatever floats your boat.
2. (13) Travis Henry RB Meh, it's fine but I am wishing someone else took him tbh.
3. (20) Reggie Wayne WR Nice.

6. (45) Thomas Jones RB Nice.
7. (52) Chris Cooley TE Don't get this pick.

RB: Gore, Jones-Drew, Portis, Norwood, Foster
WR: Housh, Driver, Edwards, Holmes, Berrian, Hackett
TE: Heap
K: Gostkowski
D: Baltimore

My 2nd draft is tommorow, im pumped!!

Recently have done some trades, so I got my up to date 10 man team (1qb / 2rb / 2wr / 1te / 1k)

QB: Vince Young, Tarvaris Jackson

RB: Brian Westbrook, Joseph Addai, Travis Henry, Marion BarberIII

WR: Steve Smith, Randy Moss, Joe Horn, Mike Furrey, Mark Clayton

TE: V. Davis

K: O. Mare

Basically I think my RBs are sick good, my WRs and TE are very good starters but I have no depth, and my Kicker / QBs are weak but Im planning on dropping for a decent qb cuz there are a ton available.

I'd get a backup QB by either dumping Hackett or Foster, or trying to package them somehow in a trade. I can't imagine you ever really needing to start either one, Foster specifically as your other options are better by a large amount

Really good imo, either Jones-Drew, Portis, or Norwood will be very good so your starting RBs will be great. Overall good, not really a glaring weakness.

I was the last person to draft a starting QB, and then everyone else drafted backups early so I figured that I might as well wait and see which available QBs are doing well.

I live in Seattle so I thought some Seahawks fans might want Hackett, as for Foster, yeah, hes pretty much worthless, I have my pick of available QBs basically as everyone else is set.

This team is nasty, I can't figure out how you managed to get Westbrook AND Addai, 8th pick?

Then to get Smith and Henry on the next time around? Thats ridiculous.

I don't like Moss, but you have Clayton and Furrey so you should be gravy at WR2.

Great team.

EDIT: Oh, I see this is a post-trade team. Well then good job on trades, I need to read this whole thread I guess.
