Favorite Classic Nintendo Game

Amazing. I opened this thread to say the original The Legend of Zelda. I stand by that choice....but have been reminded of some other completely awesome games I had nearly forgot about.

First and foremost...River City Ransom. How that had slipped my mind I'll never know...but it was spectacular.

Ninja Gaiden, excellent.

Haven't seen it mentioned yet, but loved Metroid.

This thread has major potential.

this thread makes me realize just how many great games there were on nintendo. i should probably buy an old system and get most of these games. i don't play any of the new consoles, but i assume that games have gotten worse over time, as with most things in life

Fantastic idea for a thread.

I have always maintained that Super Mario 3 was my favorite game for the NES. However, I loved that system so much that it's hard to choose just one.
