If Doyle was rolled for this e.g.he had $500,000 x 20, then he would have called to the river.

I personally would fold, it's just too much money to put in on a small flush. I remember losing a tonne of money in Vegas on a King high flush versus an Ace high flush and will never forget that experience.

I recently online I raised PF with small connectors - hit the flush on the flop. I had to bet and get my money in...in case someone was holding a lone diamond card like Ace/King diamonds or whatever. Instead I ran into KQ of diamonds and was crushed immediately.

Doyle made the right decision for longevity. But if he was a gambling donk like Jamie Gold he shoulda moved all-in or just smooth called to the river and paid it off.

its easy to play the game when you can see all opponents hole-cards. I like Doyles play.

the thing is, GOld showwed HUGE strenght on the turn. He had a flush, but doyle didnt know enough about gold to know wether he would do it with like 23s, so thats why he folded.
