I simply downloaded the client from the new site without uninstalling my old Bodog client. It just wrote over the old one and I'm good to go.

Same here.

Here's a short post about the Bodog issue on a blog I frequent, for those who are interested.

It is a real pleasure to read over some 11 pages of single-line junk posts just in hopes to get some real information. I just can't figure out why people have such an urge to post if they have no real information to share.

For people not afraid of regedit...
Rather than uninstall old Bodog (and presumably lose all my notes), I just edited my Windows registry to replace references to bodog to newbodog. The game play seems to work fine with these edits. The only "off" thing I see is that the adverts in the client don't load (they still point to the bad pages). Good enough for me.

Here's a pic of the two registry entries I modified:

This worked perfectly. Thx.

I wonder why Bodog was using a US-based domain name registrar (eNom)? Presumably a US court would have difficulty enforcing an order on an overseas registrar. It seems like they could have prevented this problem pretty easily by using a non-US registrar. Use a registrar from a country in which they were willing to respond to lawsuits. I don't know if any are based in CR or Antigua (ideal), but any non-US country would seem to be preferable.

Does anyone have any info about receiving withdrawals from them at this point? I know they've been slow at getting out any checks recently but how will (or could) this effect any future cash outs?

Payouts haven't been affected in any way. This is a fight for the domain name at this point, nothing more. Bodog is gonna have to settle out of court and pay X Millions to keep the name, or they will have to stick with newbodog or something else stupid.

I did receive a tracking number today on a payout I requested 2 weeks ago. Still taking 20+ days but they do always come.

Downloading the application from NewBodog.com does preserve notes. I don't think they were stored locally in the first place. I definitely still have them either way. So I wouldn't bother with regedit.

100% Not true. This is a fight over a patent infringement in the way Bodog processes and pays out bets. They could change their name 1000 times and it sounds like this guy is ready to fight them the whole way.
