Re: ak 3bet poot, turn A
Id check man I c-bet on flop, im happy that i hit my ace and already have one bet in I really dont wanna make a huge pot with just AK, he could have a slowplayed set because the board has no flush, maybe even two pair, a weak jack/k, I think the only hand that would call this bet here on turn is a hand that has you beat, i dont see why a KJ JQ type of hand would call here.
I could even see a check/fold on turn. |

Re: ak 3bet poot, turn A
Villain plays over 50% of his hands and you are considering a fold with tptk in a 3b pot?

Re: ak 3bet poot, turn A
Why are we betting turn, we are either way ahead or way behind. I think a check is better for pot control then river can go both ways. If we bet turn , he calls. Then we check call river? That doesnt look too good to me.

Re: ak 3bet poot, turn A
I didn't say we have to fire turn, I was just questioning why you would ever C/F here? Worse A's are in his range, as are KJ/QJ (which ge might or might not bet if we check here.) Regardless of how the money went in against this guy, I'd feel happy.

Re: ak 3bet poot, turn A
Interesting spot. I was in a very similar spot the other day and I didn't feel that I played it optimal either.
Didn't know what the best course of action was, but I figured I was commited and just shoved Villian is unknown w/no stats so far Poker Room skin No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 4 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $90.15 Button: $116.60 SB: $97.50 Hero: $106.25 Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG raises to $4, 2 folds, Hero raises to $13, UTG calls.
