hes 24/18 but this is my first session with him. his button pfr is 30% (i didnt have this stat at the time but i knew it was something absurd). flop AF is 8

i knew i was calling a push if i raised. yes, i have nut high and a gutshot. though meta was actually a slight consideration here because it was around 7am est and the tables were starting to get taggy.

its not exactly a value call but i think i easily have pot odds.

If villain has an A we're 18% to win, while we have to pay 39% of the pot to call the 3bet. (please correct me if I've miscalculated, I'm tired)

I'd fold to villains bet (this might be weak), and definitely to the 3bet.

I like the c/raise, the call is puke though...c/ring the flop and folding to a push is metagame enough- no need to blow another 40BBs.

i obv have him on a much wider range than an ace. and note that against anything except sets and QQ-KK and Ax i have more than enough equity to call.

another option is to fold the flop. i dont like this option. might as well fold preflop (another bad option against this guys btn opening range)

another option is to raise/fold to 3bet. i dont like that option either, his flop aggression is through the roof. (again i didnt have a stat but i was paying close enough attn to notice) i def think he is happy to get allin with any draw and lots of pairs including AK/AQ tho

Without regard of the results of this hand, I think you're just throwing money away here and I believe that doing this for "metagame" reasons in 100NL (and probably everywhere else) is pretty silly.

[/ QUOTE ]taken from my mouth, im a strong opponent of most applications of meta in ssnl. it was just a small side effect. for the remainder of my session it was hardly relevant at all.
