Wow...rooms are that much? 4 buddies and myself got a house for 9 nights (10 days) for $450 a piece total. Gorgeous 5 bedroom w/ pool, jacuzzi, etc.

If you have ppl you could do this with, it sure would be stuck being cooped up in a boring hotel room.

[/ QUOTE ]

That "boring hotel room" is walking distance from the WSOP room. Since you know when the breaks are, you can pre-order dinner room service to be delivered on the breaks instead of fighting through everyone else in the restaurants. No waiting in long cab lines after play is over for the day either.

[/ QUOTE ]

We have a car, so no issues, and since I'm with buddies, they'll have me hooked up with food.

That being said, I've heard a lot about the IP and it being cheap and such. Just depends on what is acceptable to you.

And really, if AT ALL possible, imo the house route is the best way to go.

Assani Fisher (2p2 regular and pro) did this last year and is part of the reason we are doing this. He suggested this to us and we ran with it. Just a smart, ideal idea.

GL!

gotta go with the I.P. also.
It has that old building smell---but it's cheap and in a great location.

ive stayed at the extend-a-stay before as well. It is 10 mintute walk from the rio (cant remember the name of the street its on). The only thing I didn't like was walking back with large amounts of cash in LV outside of the strip. It is pretty cheap and has a kitchen so can save money instead of eating out all the time.

Walking from the RIO to an extended stay or most Hotels near the Rio with large amounts of money is like driving your car for 3 yrs without insurance. The money you save is great but when the accident hits you wish you had the insurance. Eventually you will get wacked with your cash for walking those Vegas streets with large amounts of cash on you. My advice is a rental car or a cabbie.

I'm assuming you mean Cheap not cheat

I'm from Idaho...everything is HELLA cheap up here. You can get hotel rooms that are "ok" (equivalent of the tropicana) for $28 a night...blows my mind that people spend $200 a night for a hotel room.

Yeah, I have a friend in Idaho. When we meet up in Vegas I ask him where he's staying, and he says "Monte Carlo". He means his Chevy, not the hotel.

lol, nh sir

I just booked it at the Imperial palace...

I also got a $125 coupon off for using a mastercard and being VIP

Total cost only $600ish, not too shabby

Anyways, if anyone will be there then, and want to meet up for drinks, pm me, I'm for sure going to take 1-2 nights off for drinks/fun.
