Default How would you play this multiway pot 50nl

Hi all, taking a few shots at 50nl now.

If anyone can comment on the run of this hand, or what you would change if anything would be appreciated.

I personally don't think I played it very well.

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players

BB: $20.65
UTG: $50.05
MP: $46.25
Hero (CO): $49.25
BTN: $77.10
SB: $42.65

Pre-Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (CO)
UTG folds, MP calls $0.50, <font color="red">Hero raises to $2.50</font>, 2 folds, BB calls $2, MP calls $2

Flop: ($7.75) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
<font color="red">BB bets $8</font>, MP calls $8, Hero calls $8

Turn: ($31.75) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
<font color="red">BB bets $10.15 and is All-In</font>, MP calls $10.15, Hero calls $10.15

River: ($62.20) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players - 1 is All-In)
MP checks, Hero checks

Results: $62.20 Pot ($3 Rake)

Just sat down at table, first orbit so no reads on anyone.

yeah, AJ sucks. put the shortie in on the flop and charge the passive guy for his draw

I am not calling the flop. Either fold or raise. I think I prefer folding without reads.

Flop was probably my most critical point in the play, but it felt so damn weak folding the A here. If I'm going play the hand, let alone raise it preflop, why am I folding when I flop it?

I think I made the bad decision to call instead of raise however. This hand felt like I was blindly stumbling through it rather then having a plan and goal. Scared to get the money in with it, but thought I had the best hand often enough to see a show down. Not a good combo.
