Default How do I use two monitors with one computer?

How do I do it? I only have one monitor port on the back of my new computer. I have been told I need to buy a second video card and install it. Can anyone recommend one for me? I dont need a fancy or expensive one, just one that gets the job done. Any and all advise would be greatly

You'll probably need to give people more specs.

You basically have two options.

1) Buy a GFX card that can handle two monitors and swap it for yours

2) Add a second card

If you could find out what motherboard you have and what your current GFX card is that would help.

If there is a connector on your notebook where you can plug external monitor in, there is a good chance you can. Try and see.

All the software you need for basic multi-monitoring is part of Windows. You can freely drag windows across your monitors and set them up the way you want, no special software needed.

I've been meaning to test adding a second monitor to my laptop. I know it supports duel monitors I'm just curious about performance.

The laptop runs at 1400*1050 and apparently I can have a second monitor at 2048*1536. Can a GeForce FX Go5200 32M/64M really do that at a reasonable performance?
