You'd think after he watches himself on TV he'd be embarrassed by the way he acts. I mean I couldn't imagine watching myself on TV acting like that. It would be humiliating. Guess he's just a prick at heart though.

Phil H. probably gave him lessons in avoidance techniques.

I'm surprised Phil has escaped attack thus far. For those who missed it, it was just a blip in today's show. They were doing a little puff piece on Doyle. Short comment from the announcers followed by 10 second sound bites from a number of players. About 6 people said "the Godfather of poker" or "a legend", and Phil H. says, "I see a lot of myself in Doyle."

Thanks for sharing that, Phil.

I don't think even Phil has been this tactless before.

Be wary of the editing. Phil's expressed his admiration of Doyle before and I'd bet that was left on the cutting room floor this time around.

We all have our various quirks, and I am not a sociology expert, but my life experience tells me he gives a rat's ass about anyone but Sheikhan and family. He doesn't care that I hate his dumb sunglasses, haircut, etc.

So, in a roundabout way, I am saying, hell, yeah, I agree.
He is a tool's tool.

A few years ago he was driving at a high speed and was involved in an accident during a thunderstorm in Las Vegas. An elderly woman died in this accident, but he was relatively unscathed. You would think that this experience would humble him a bit and cause him to act with some humility, but judging from his behavior at the poker table the last few years, I guess it hasn't.

It turns my stomach watching him.

IT pisses me off that Doyle makes excuses for him. It is ok to call a assmunch an assmunch Doyle.

Are you familiar with the phrase "Don't tap the glass"?

Todd said it best, 'sheiky's an idiot and he's gonna lose all his money.' He's menatlly unstable and not in a good way like Mike Caro. What i took away from yesterday's show was Doyle's class. How he responded to sheiky is a lesson for me as a player. If you can get beat by a tool like that, take his barbs in stride, get up shake the man's hand and say good game, you possess something more valuable than all the chip stacks in all las vegas, Character, Dignity, and Sportsmanship. Other players would have lost alot more than their chips in that situation. Hat's off to Doyle.
