Dragonball Z has always been my absolute favorite

anyone see the Berserk series? Main character has a FF7-esque ginormous sword and kicks some major ass. I highly recommend it

Hmm... I'm surprised that Tenjho Tenge hasn't been mentioned, yet.

It combines crazy fighting styles and scenes with an intriguing plot and some hot characters.
I haven't seen many episodes, but from what I've seen so far it's been really interesting.

I read mangas because animes have too much fillers.

Favorite:
1. Slam Dunk (LDO)
2. Naruto
3. Hunter X Hunter (drags too long right now though)
4. Full Metal Alchemist
5. Dragon Ball Z
6. Shin
7. Shaman King (WTF happened)
8. Prince of Tennis
9. Black Cat
10. Kenshin
11. One Piece (too complicated and messy)

Does anyone know the name of the one that takes place in like a cooking school, and they compete by making different kinds of bread? I saw like one episode once but couldn't get the name.

Yes GTO is awesome, hence the name. Or at least the first like 30 or episodes are. The last 5 or 6 are like super emo/ melodramatic and kind of bring the series as a whole down in my opinion.

Bleach is pretty sweet, but I don't think there's anything super good about it that really sets it apart from all the other teenage hero action ones.

Death Note is my current favorite. I think the style and atmosphere they got going with that one is awesome and the soundtrack fits in perfectly. The whole basis that all the action is through trying to outsmart the other guy makes it fun to guess what's gonna happen next too.

There's also a special place in my heart for G-Gundam. They had it dubbed on Toonami back in the day and it was just so ridiculous and over the top.
"You may have those silver feet, but I have these SHINING FINGERSS!!!!" too funny

Besides seconding all the love for Bebop, I really enjoyed Tenchi Muyo, but I haven't seen it in years.

Yes, Berserk was amazing after the slow start. I highly recommend checking out the manga, which is still being drawn. It's been going a very long time. Check out evil-genius.us for the more recent volumes, and a torrent site for the older volumes. The anime is only up to the first 7 or so of the 30+ (40+?) volumes.
