Default Wong Tennis Betting

Ok maybe not quite Daliman returns, but I should be able to give you an edge.

Chennai Open on Pinnacle

Karlovic vs Amritraj

Karlovic -332 is the bet. Amritraj a former teammate of mine at USC has been injured and just played a small minor league tournament and lost in the first round.

$1000 to win $301

Hopman Cup

Toursonov vs Fish

Toursonov $500 to win $320

I cannot wait for the Aussie Open.

good luck

I hear money in tennis is on big faves. I'd love to discuss more theory rather than picks if interested.

It is all about knowing who is injured, who has food poisoning, whose girlfriend just boned Tommy Haas etc. Tommy does this quite often.

Federer to win Wimbledon seems interesting to me, but if someone could figure the odds of a tennis player getting injured we could determine if its a good bet. If he is healthy he will win.

Haas gets chicks to strap on and bone him? Maybe I'm old school, but that's weird.

this sort of stuff is definitely gold.

i imagine there is more that can be done with a modeling sort of approach though, as I doubt the lines are set with any more than a ranking + past record + surface performance sort of thing.

i had dreams of breaking down players into rankings for each of their skills (endurance, speed, forehand, volley, metal toughenss, etc.) and simulating matches point-by-point, like a video game. monumental task though.

YTD Singles Betting 1-0 +$301

Hrbaty vs Goldstein taking Hrbaty -266. Hrbaty lost to friend and local WC Peter Luczak first round and has to win this match to maybe advance. Hrbaty is a fighter and has to many weapons for Paul.

$500 on Hrbaty to win $188

Quick favor, if someone can really read the rules on tennis betting and find out exactly what happens if one player retires during the match. Because that to me is the biggest thing stopping me from betting more on some favorites, scared they are going to pull out or retire during the match.

But there looks to be a lot of value in underdogs, if you know a little bit of inside info which I get a lot, so just have to pick our spots.
