At first I thought the watched forums would be good but then I saw that after you opened a thread and posted you had no quick link to go back to the watch list. The quick link just took you back to the forum home that you were in. Dumb implementation.

edit: I'm also peeved because some posts I made yesterday and today are gone because of the rollback. Now I won't get replies that I was looking forward to reading. Entire threads are gone. This is the kind of crap that will kill off a good forum.

The admins have already said that all content from the past days is only temporarily offline. And there is no possible way a hiccup like this will "kill off" 2+2.

Borodog,

This kind of sensibility will kill off 2+2. You're not over-reacting to this nearly enough, and you really didn't over-react enough to the upgrade either. Try harder, sir, or 2+2 may die.

This won't kill it off but as I said it's things like this that will do it. Don't mess with success. Things were working nicely and the new software wasn't that much of an improvement to justify getting used to the new look and feel. This is how software companies make their money - by getting people to upgrade. Most upgrades are unneccesary. I know. I work in the business.

It's ridiculous that the Software Company (ubb?) provides upgrades that FORCE new skins on us that are fundamentally inferior in Key Feature design functionality.

HUGE BOXES FOR ONE LINE POSTS ARE RIDICULOUS

WIDE BODY THREADS AT 640x480 ARE RIDICULOUS

FONT SIZE ONLY 18 YEAR OLD EYES CAN READ IS RIDICULOUS

If the Software Company FORCES us to use only Skins with these DISFUNCTIONAL Features in its Upgrades then we should find another Software Company to deal with. I can't believe the site owners would let themselves be bent over like this.

That might be true. But it is also true that companies "end of life" versions and if you aren't current you cannot get support.

The new forum had some nice features going for it (and several highly annoying features). On balance, I think it was not much of an improvement.

But I understand the need to stay current.
