Re: What is your longest session ever?
18 hrs. playing 1/2 LIMIT at the hard rock in tampa. i bought in for $50 at noon and walked away with $300 at six the next morning. anyone who has played in this game can atest to the hell i passed through. however, the game only uses $1 and $2 chips so this was also the biggest physical stack i've ever had. fun times.

Re: What is your longest session ever?
I'm one of the lightweights. Done a couple sessions somewhere around 15 hours or so, drinking quite a bit, which weren't bad at all. My longest was a few years ago probably somewhere around 16 or 17 hours at Bellagio 4/8 limit. Left +300 or so.
Within the next year or so, I plan to catch a plane to vegas, and not get a room. Probably something like leaving friday afternoon, and coming back Sunday morning. Just for the sake of doing a marathon session. I have a buddy that might do it with me. If of course, i can convince my wife it's a good idea. |

Re: What is your longest session ever?
pf (pre-fiancee) 63 hours - I had to move to seat 5 to even see the flop. amazingly enough, after all expenses (read as RedBulls, Sobes, high caloric foods, etc), + $24
ad (after death of poker) 6.5 hours - too depressed to keep those records now... oh, you have a business trip? "i'll find something to do... " |

Re: What is your longest session ever?
I'm a relative noob so for me its ~12 hours recently at Foxwoods $10/$20. I was down a rack ($500) after 10 hours but staged a loose and fairly unconscious comeback in the last two hours to go up a rack.
But what was special about the game was a russian guy who hadn't had sleep in two nights. He was playing in slow motion and often had to be prompted as to how much to put in as he went searching through his stack for the right number of chips (this was a limit game). At the river, which he invariably called, he might take between 10 and 30 seconds and then toss his cards in the muck, beaten again. He showed us withdrawal slips for $6,000 over the past few days, when he was emptying his wallet to buy chips. Towards the end (for me) he called a river bet, yet again, and was faced with two pair. He thought and thought and thought and a guy said something like "Boris, what do you have?" Then another guy said "Hey Russia, just turn them over". Finally he turns over his 22 for a full house and looks surprised that the large pot is pushed to him. Eight guys at the table start applauding. Maybe nine. When I left, he had close to $1,000 and was staging a comeback at what had to be hour 66 or so. |

Re: What is your longest session ever?
I've played a few 30-36 hour sessions in Vegas. Currently I'm gearing up for my annual trip down during March Madness. My buddy and I will play roughly 20 hours a day for five days running...

Re: What is your longest session ever?
How do you have enough energy to survive a marathon session? Mentally I get tired after 6-7 hours

Re: What is your longest session ever?
Like 18 hours or so 40/80 limit Hold Them. I was winning like 4 racks at hour 12, winning less than 1 rack at hour 15 and then winning like 4.5 racks at 10am when I quit. All my long live sessions of 12ish hours are my biggest wins except one where I was winning all night and somehow managed to give it back x5 playing shorthanded and Mike L massacred me. All my 5-7 hour sessions are usually losing sessions/barely winning and frustrated. This one good habit probably makes up for me sucking at poker. Online I'm the complete opposite and quit as soon as I'm winning and play forever when losing, but online it's really easy to come back from a little 50-100 bet swing anyway.
If I was staying in a hotel at a casino I'm pretty sure I'd play 30+ hours all the time, but when I have to drive home I like to be able to see straight. |

Re: What is your longest session ever?
I played 18hours at the Monte Carlo in Vegas. (no one plays there?)
2 guys from Mexico City were playing every hand to the river and asking the dealer if they won or not. Passed out in rented suburban while my friends were skydiving. Not a good thing in the middle of the desert, I almost cooked. |
