I just got a post card from the Colts that says:

"BE SURE TO BE IN YOUR SEAT BY 8 P.M.

to witness our very special Championship Moment and show the world what great fans you are."

Banner time! I'm so excited!

That's going to be a great thing to see (I'll certainly be watching). I'd seriously consider punching a newborn for tickets to see it live.

Enjoy the ceremony. Not gonna lie, I am extremely jealous. My faith in this season is completely shot already so I am gonna be rooting against the Titans and Colts every week.

10 minutes until cuts have to be handed in. Man, I'm curious to see what recivers make it through. I wonder if Reggie is still on the team.

Holy [censored]. Garrard was just named the opening day starter and Leftwich is either released or traded. I'll let everyone else draw up their own conclusions, I'm upset right now. I need a new avatar.

I never get this I always think they look better with Leftwich at QB. I know "they just win games" with Garrard, but Leftwich is a better passer and seems to run the offense smoother. Maybe I don't pay close enough attention to Jags games. They always seem very one dimensional with Garrard in.

except that game vs Tennessee last year when Gerrard singlehandedly lost the game

[/ QUOTE ]

That was most likely the worst individual performace I had ever watched. Did he think Pacman was on his team? Titans won the game without scoring a single offensive point. Oh well, he looked awesome in preseason so maybe he is getting over the hump of dumb passes.

I was at that game. Tickets were presents from my sister.
Craziest game ever. Pretty sure the Titans were under 100 yards offense.

As per NFL.com, Leftwich was released. I'm still trying to get information on the other players cut and seeing if Reggie Williams was involved in the group or his last perfmance gave him a little more time.

Notable Jaguar Cuts: Byron Leftwich QB, Dee Webb CB, Josh Gattis S, Charles Sharon WR, Jamaal Fudge S.

Yikes Fudge, Gattis, and Webb all cut and Terry Cousin stays? Pearman was traded and it had to be for a DB, most likely a safety. Sorry to see Sharon go, but that means our WR are Northcutt, Wilford, Jones, Broussard, and Williams, and most likely in that order.

Did Leftwich have a lot of upfront payments in his contract that will now hit the salary cap all at the same time?

So where does Leftwich start this year? Cleveland? Atlanta?

This is going to cost Del Rio his job me thinks.

Atlanta seems like a logical fit, hopefully someone has the guts to say "Joey isn't going to do it in all likelyhood, lets use Byron".

My question is, cut him??? Did he have no trade value? Did he have a big roster bonus due to him or what?

Actually this is one of the worst cut days I have seen the Jaguars have. Of course I'm no where near as qualified as the talent evalutators, but 5 TE's?? I feel like JDR is trying to destroy the team. It just seems insane. He must have drugged the whole front office including Wayne Weaver when these cuts were made.

And I have so many questions about what they did. Walker on IR? Smolko cut in favor of Angulo? Spicer makes it, as does Pettway, with Wyche on IR? Cousin makes it, with Thornton and Webb both cut? Reyes making the team? Gattis and Fudge being cut?????
