You have trips. You don't have a set.

About the hand, this is a pretty tough spot, TAG's don't tend to bluff this river without the goods once you fire the 3rd barrel and the only real draw got there. I might have check raised the turn FWIW.

As played flip a coin. If he's capable of slowplaying 77/33 like this then it might be a fold. Still I'd prob call and hope to see 7x that turned it's hand into a bluff or some 8x non-boat hand

You don't have a set you have trips, but I digress.

Looks ok to me though, calling river is a bit thin I think, as we beat only really a bluff and I doubt this is a bluff hardly ever.

wow this is such a sick spot, how often do we see players over pairs or weaker 8s in this situation? Rarely IMO I think we see full houses most of the time vs good TAGs. Your getting offered 3-1 and this is still so close I cant decied what to do this is right on the line for me.
5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] could be in there too awwww what to do!!?!

villain isnt pushing river with 99/TT (or any other over pair for that matter, however unlikely they are).
he also doesnt think you are going to fold after firing 3 streets. i cant even think of a bluff he coukld have that would get to the river that way.
you see 77/33/78/88 90% of the time here.
fold looks fine

real close spot, neither folding nor calling is horrible. Without read, i probably put unknown on 98/T8 and call, tehn get shown the straight.

I would bet more on turn however. That way if you get to river, you're more comfortable calling against tag, as he's unlikely to have straight. He'll just have a worse 8 or a boat, so you like your even better than 3 to 1 on river. Against donk you're happy to get it in.

for you guys saying calling is good, what are you putting villain on?
do you think hes ever value betting a worse hand, or is this only a bluff we are hoping to catch?

it just seems like he's not afraid of any turn/rivercards and hes hoping you catch a bigger piece
