P Diddy and Burger King
Just saw a commercial where PD shows up late and wants to eat but the place is closed. Manager/Owner/Whoever shows up and opens up the place for him, ready to go. Manager holds up his knuckles for bustin' and P Diddy leaves him hanging.
Just wondering what message that was trying to send? Could it be about race? Could it be about social class? I think it makes P Didds look like an ungrateful prick. Is that really supposed to be admired? Anyone? b |

Re: P Diddy and Burger King
A cursory glance at the American demograph makes it obvious why marketers are using someone with the name "P Diddy" to sell products to them.

Re: P Diddy and Burger King
lol
I think P Diddy is pretty rude to everyone. Its not that the manager is white that he is left hanging, its that he isnt cool, isnt with it. P Diddy judging from what ive seen of his show and another example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLcPIolG_8E is just pretty ungrateful in general. I see it as more of society these days being rude, then a race issue. Im sure if that was Diddy friend that owned the BK he wouldnt leave him hanging. |

Re: P Diddy and Burger King
The end of that commercial reinforced what I alreay knew about P Diddy: he's a douche. I too am dumbfounded as to why they'd script that in the commercial. It has no positive connotation that I can think of.

Re: P Diddy and Burger King
It brings to mind years ago when Wycleff Jean of the Fugees accepted (mtv, i think) award from Beck. Beck went to shake his hand, and Wycleff moved away. He was also carrying a flag, so I don't know what I thought of that scene.
