The 29/22 bastard was reraising every time I open raised from the CO or BTN - probably half a dozen times so far. I never had a hand worth calling or reraising with, not that this hand was either.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just don't raise until you get a hand you can legitimately 4-bet him with? Think about what you'd do if you were playing versus a robot computer player who always reraised.

cha KK hand: Call flop. If SB has JJ or QQ he might be enticed to call. If you raise he'll be gone for sure.

Scuba KK hand: Wow, definitely 4 bet pf, you are begging to get setted or aced by SB. As played the flop looks OK, I don't see a lot of point in flat calling.

cakewalk TT hand: I'd fold the river against a guy with low AF, the list of bluff hands he can have is awfully slim (AhQ, AhJ basically) and he's much less likely to run a bluff with the king dropping.

Scuba AJcc hand: Given the circumstances described, I'd minraise. He's not the kind of guy who'll reraise with some random hand right? I'd fold the reraise pf though.

Devin: What raptor said.

Villain is the same guy in both hands. He just sat down, so my only read is the first hand.

Hand #1
Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1

Stack sizes:
UTG: $101.50
UTG+1: $90.40
CO: $95.90
Button: $80.40
Hero: $259.40
BB: $195.50

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">UTG+1 raises to $3.5</font>, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $11</font>, BB folds, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($23, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $20</font>, <font color="#cc0000">UTG+1 raises all-in $79.4</font>, Hero calls.

Results: (since it's basically my read for the next hand)
<font color="#ffffff">UTG+1 showed 7s 8s</font>

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($7.5, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">Button bets $6</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $20</font>, Button calls.

Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($47.5, 2 players)

Well, I didn't get many responses.

I was really curious what people would think MP might have cause I was actually MP. I wanted to see how people would interpret my line to see how affective it might be.

slim, hand 1 is fine.

Hand 2: I wouldn't c/r this flop. All though you have a decent draw, the diamonds are troublesome. I'd just lead and go from there.

I play the rest like you.

I don't usually respond regarding hands that are over NL100 sometimes maybe 200 unless I'm asking a question about it. A lot of those hands confuse me but since they make sense to other higher stakes players I just assume I'll get it when I get there.

Anyway, on that hand if I was the guy with QQ I would call the river because there are lots of hands I could put you on that I beat the way the hand played out. Mostly smaller pocket pairs but including complete bluffs.

The flop is so dry without an Ace how does hero call without a pair bigger than a 6 unless he's planning a bluff? The call on the river is so likely by pocket pairs that you (MP) could be value betting maybe JJ.

I don't see a bluff working often at all. If he was very very loose-passive and you have 22 he might have some foldable hands that beat you.

I think to put him off 88+ you have to bet turn, but it's not like that's a good idea since he's very likely to play slow with an Ace after you raise. You'd have to be very sure he doesn't lead with an Ace on the flop I think, but that's not that uncommon. Lots of people ALWAYS slowplay if they hit hard. Still, that one needs a read.
