Default Multiple comp offers from Harrah\'s

In the past couple weeks, I have received four seperate comp offers from Harrah's, all for use at Flamingo.

Oct 4-7: Blackjack tournament
Oct 11-14: $1200 Macy's giftcard
Oct 25-27: NBA exhibition Lakers v Kings
Oct any 2 nights: $400 travel reimbursement

The fine print is not clear on whether more than one offer can be used, only that they cannot be used simultaneously. Should I book the Oct 4-7 now, call Oct 9th to book 11-14, call Oct 16th for the anytime offer, then finish out with 25-27?

Checking here to see if anyone has similar offers and how to maximize them before I make the call. It seems like my plan above would refused. I have no experience dealing with casino hosts, all these came from a drunk blackjack night I had forced myself to forget. Any advice is appreciated

Well, yes, I've gotten more than one offer at the same time from a Harrah's property.

However, based on your post, it appears 3 of the 4 are date related. Thus, it appears you can use the 400 buck travel reimbursement anytime in October with any (one) of the other 3 offers.

Your best bet is to call the toll free number (that they provided you with the offers) and ask them. They are not the big bad wolf here, in fact, if you don't get what you want from the first person, ask for a casino host. If they can't give it to you, ask for their supervisor. Be sure to be nice and polite at each stop, but be firm in what you want from them. If they can give it to you, they usually will do so.

Do NOT volunteer that your play was just a one time thing from a drunken stop over in Vegas. Let them think you ALWAYS drop that kind of money when you go play (it'll help you get more out of them when you call them).

As for me, I never ever play even one "game" inside a casino, without first making sure I have that casino's players card on me. If I don't have one, I sign up for it, if I lost the card, or left it at home, I get dulicate copy of one. To not obtain and play with a Casino Player's card, is very -EV, because you're going to spend the money anyway, why not get something extra while doing it? Having and using a players card, allows you to do just that. Many don't do it because they think, "well, I'm not really going to play very much". Not realizing that those wins and such, also add up over time (Especially with a Harrah's card, because they have so many casinos spread out across the country), and count towards your 'play' for comps and so on.

Always remember, Casinos and comps are like the Military, they both have a 'Don't ask don't tell' Policy.

If you don't ask for a comp of something you want, they (The casino) won't tell you it's available.

Check the fine print. It's sort og like the roman empire offering you a free trip to the colluseum, might not be exactly what you thought.

I would assume they can't be used at the same time since they all have different dates assigned to them, other than the travel reimbursement. lol

shock, check the fine print again...all of my Harrah's Las Vegas (e.g., Caesars, Rio, etc) say words to the effect "....cannot be used concurrently or in conjunction with any other offer...". I don't have any Flamingo offers, but....

I believe that they assign a promo code from the offer to your unique hotel reservation...so, you would have to try to make multiple, overlapping reservations, one for each offer code & I think they key all of this by your player number, across properties & it would be red flagged...

so, unless your host can figure out a way to game the system, I think this is how they control this sort of overlap thing

Call ASAP. The free offers go very very fast. Especially the ones for free tournaments.

You should be able to use all of the coupons as long as they do not overlap. I have used two coupons for the same week, consecutive days.

The free rooms go fast because only a certain number are set aside for the promotion.

Yes you can since they're different dates. You probably need 48 hours in between, but if they're at different properties you can sometimes get lucky

You should allow at least 24 hours between bookings. Harrah's will generally allow you to book consecutive (but not overlapping) nights at different properties. I'm not sure they'll allow this at the same property though.

However, they will not allow you to book consecutive nights (even at different properties) if there is an "event" connected with either offer. Their concept of an "event" is anything other than free nights. So, it seems that all of your offers are "events".

And if you are successful at booking consecutive stays when they should not have allowed you to, you will find out when you arrive that one of them has been cancelled.
