I am so pumped for this game.

I know this was originally being made for PS3 only, so does that means its being built for PS3 and ported over to the others?

Ya, I also heard it was first for PS3. I'm not sure, It sounds like the release date will be first on PS3, so that could be the case, not sure though.

I personally am looking to get it for PC as I have xbox and ps2, but no nex-gen system.

There seems to have been some sort of deal between Sony and Ubisoft to announce the game for PS3 first. But a release schedule was released by Ubisoft that showed it being a multi platform release.
When asked about it, all Ubisoft would say was that the game was coming for the PS3. They would not say that it was PS3 exclusive.

So my guess is that it was intended as a multi platform game from the start.

I read something a little while ago about why the PS3 would fail as a system, and read something about a Sony executive being unable to pull the trigger on signing titles as PS3 exclusives. Specifically, Assassin's Creed was mentioned.

Yeah Assassin's Creed was looking at PS3 only, as well as Mercenaries 2 (I believe) but that is getting put on 360 now too.

But yes, this game looks super fantastic and it's an easy insta-buy.

For the first public realtime gameplay demo they chose to use the 360. That obviously means very little besides that their current flagship target is probably going to be the 360. There might also be some interesting information that could be obtained if you look at the footage/trailer they put up on XBox Live some time back. It had significant jittering, but the 360 realtime demo seemed perfectly smooth. Could mean you'll be looking at another Call of Duty 3 style port, which would be yet another blow to the PS3 especially for a game that Sony was initially given the chance to have exclusive rights to. Of course it could also mean nothing at all, but speculation is apparently fun - right?

I'm curious how similar this game plays to Prince of Persia.
