AC vs the Woods around Christmas

So on the 21st I'll be going down to AC (Borgata probably the whole time, maybe Trop), with the option to stay until the 27th or 28th. My other option is to go to the Woods during that time (22nd on), and I can basically commute from Boston, or maybe get a hotel somewhere along 95.

I plan on playing 6/12 limit at Borgata (or thereabouts) and 5/10 kill limit at Foxwoods.

What I'm wondering is, will either place be full/good at all during Christmas? Usually the rule is casinos get packed during any holiday, even stupid ones, but this is Christmas and I think even the degenerates spend time with their family for that one. What's my better choice?

In my experiences last year, foxwoods was incredibly packed around christmas time with a nice influx of college students on winter break whose pockets were lined with christmas money. last year they still had their old room so i ran into some huge waitlists, especially on the weekends around christmas.

with the exception of christmas morning. . . and hell, probably even then too (lol asians), i would expect the tables to be packed at the woods during your whole stay. probably will see you down there. good luck sir!

Christmas Eve after around 6pm and Christmas day I remember being fairly quiet. Maybe things picked up during Christmas day at night, I don't really remember.

I will be at Foxwoods on the 26th almost definitely... probably a few other days that week, as well. I heard from a friend who was there last year between xmas and new years that it was crowded but quite soft (he was playing 2/5 NL, fwiw). Just get there early before the rush and you should be all set.

What about AC? I'm not 100% sure, but I think I'd rather stay in AC during the time. Anyone who was in AC last year around the 22-28th?

I remember playing on Christmas eve around 2000, and the Taj was relatively dead. Things heat up on Christmas day and thereafter. With Christmas eve falling on a Sunday this year, I'd expect plenty of action throughout the weekend.

I think the FW games will be fine to pretty damn good between xmas & new years. I have not been to AC, but I think the games will likely be good there too. Although, since the Mass/RI/Conn area will have loads of college kids home w/ xmas/channukah monies as the earlier poster stated there will be some sweetened pots.

I think you should go where you think you will have the most non-poker fun or where you feel the ambiance is most suitable to yourself since I think game quality will be equivalent and bountiful. The only thing is that I wish FW had 6/12 or 8/16.

As far as myslef is concerned, I will be at FW from Dec 26 to 31. My brother is coming on the 29 and the gf may or may not show.... I'm looking forward to good poker & good times... PM me if you or any other 2+2 poker fiends want to meet up.

I'll be at Foxwoods on the 26th, 27th and 28th. We should be able to get a HORSE game going sometime.
