When you loot and burn down buildings, harm civilians and injure peacekeeping national guardsmen, these things tend to happen.

I call BS - quit being an apologist for murder.

What if the burning building is your house, and the harmed civilians are you and your family?...might have a different opinion then eh?

[/ QUOTE ]

Sure, that totally warants for shooting in all directions and murdering innocent bystanders who have nothing to do with the ordeal.

Obviously he would have no problem if his little kid on his way to kindergarten was shot because of an abandonded building burned down a few days previously someplace else.

That hinges on whether it's an accident or not. I think it's most likely that it was. What I'm saying is that when you choose to escalate violence, as these worthless students did, there are often unintended consequences. Some of which were paid by innocent bystanders.

The dead could just as easily have been a couple of dead troopers hit in the heads by rocks or civilians caught in a burning building.

Let's try Wiki for a slightly more in-depth review of the events, shall we?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_State_shootings

[/ QUOTE ]

Since when is wiki a source of accurate in-depth reporting?

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you have a problem with reading comprehension?

Google..... "Kent State Massacre".

wiki comes up, as do many other links.

I could have listed 5 pages of links......

I linked wiki, as it is familiar to most readers here, and many have used it as a source.

I believe what they've written there is a bit more in-depth than the comment I responded to, don't you think?

I advanced no opionion or political POV.....just wanted to provide a link for those who might want more info.

A link in this context is a tacit endorsement of the accuracy of the information. Wiki by its very nature is unreliable and subject to inaccuracies and bias. If your intent was as is stated in your follow up try suggesting search terms in the first place.

Anyone who initiates and participates in violence against innocent national guard members, local businesses and members of the public is a pretty worthless human being.

Why is everyone getting up in arms about the shooting, and no one gives a crap about the violence of these students?

I'd like to hear some decent arguments that this was a deliberate act to quell the protests, because the objective evidence doesn't seem to support that case. And if it was truly an accident, then the students are much to blame for the four deaths as the government. I daresay more so.
