We had just -- like, three hands before -- made the money. I was 3rd in chips and villain was 4th (out of 18). Villain seemed solid. I had been raising the blinds a lot and this was the first time he 3-bet me.

So, how do you play this? What is villain's range once he shoves the flop like this?

if it's the first time he 3 bet u, i might just fold preflop. if you don't wanna fold, i'd much prefer a shove to calling. stacks arent deep enough here imo.

as played preflop easy call on flop

ya i dont like the way you got there but you have to instacall this flop.
