Default Value of Information

I don't expect an exact answer here, but I'm curious as to people's ranges:

How much would it be worth per hand, if before you are dealt your cards, you could pay to see the flop (before it's dealt)?
1 BB/Hand seems a cheap price. What about 5 BB/Hand?

If other players at table know that you (alone) have the privilege of paying to see the flop preflop for X (say 7?) BB/hand, what should their optimal play be?

Draws would lose some value, as you would be playing very aggressively on the flop. Pocket pairs? Big cards?

There you are staring into a dark tunnel with no light whatsoever and all you need to see is a little light. Maybe only a single inch ahead and yet all you see is complete darkness.

That strongly depends on the depth of the stacks...

Do the opponents know when you are/aren't paying to see the flop ahead of time?
