Default How did you find 2p2?

when I sort through the threads in OOT and look at some post counts in the forums, it makes me wonder how some of you guys found 2p2. afterall, we are a *poker* forum, but we've got just as much discussion about other topics as we do poker, sometimes more.

for me, i stumbled into 2p2 when i finally decided to check out the website on the back of the books. one thing i noticed is that i've learned a lot more about poker through these forums than i have through any of 2p2's books.

i went from the LHE forums to the NLHE forums to the omaha forums before I 'discovered' OOT. the thing I learned, as do a lot of noobs, is that this forum is taken very seriously. I spent about a year in the strat forums before I made a post in OOT and quickly got *'d by AG for polltarding. Actually, I didn't get *'d for polltarding. I got *'d for telling AG to [censored] off in his PM about my poll. I didn't know who he was and why he cared. I digress.

How did you find 2p2?

I always have it open b/c I never turn my laptop off, but I'd estimate that I spend 5-6 hours a day casually looking at the forums while I'm working/hanging out at the house.

I always saw the pictures of DS on the back of his books and assumed he'd be a conservative nerdy type of guy. Lol.

But I always pictured a scenario where some 2p2'er is arguing something in politics or OOT and asks his office to join in with him, or his friends, or whatever, and that's how we end up w/so many members who seemingly don't play poker.

After seeing so many people running around w/ *'s I began PM'ing the threads I wanted to start to [censored] and NT! b/c I didn't want to get banned (again). Anyone else as timid as I was?

Plz no obligatory * joke in my title b/c of that last line.

I found it through the Internet Texas Hold 'Em forums. It was the second book I bought, right after Lee Jones stellar work.

I haven't played seriously in well over a year.

I found it the same way you did, back of the books.

I have on occassion asked NT! for his opinion on a thread idea. It's not for fear of *, but merely to get an opinion on it. I've PM'd tuq for the same thing..

I am an OOT troll, afraid to start any threads because of the flaming that goes on in this forum. So yes, I can understand your trepidation. And FWIW, I found 2p2 because I went to school with CMI.

Can you confirm that CMI is, in fact, dead?

I googled "David Sklansky pimp", and clicked on the most relevant link.

I can confirm that he has become a huge tool... a living tool, but a tool, nonetheless.

I can only assume you're joking, as no one is allowed to legitimately speak ill CMI. So he's obviously dead.
