Re: LA Poker rooms
www.casinocity.com has a directory. If there are NL games running, the action isn't always going to be good but it's usually good overall.

Asking a simple question for people from around the area, of course I can mapquest it but I was just wondering how close they are. Hollywood Park how is that poker room?

Re: LA Poker rooms
Hollywood Park Casino is in a very bad part of town (the ghetto) and gun-point robberies in the parking-lot are not uncommon.

Re: LA Poker rooms
I would recommend Commerce. I've never really felt unsafe there (there is a large, armed, security presence) and there's plenty of action. Hollywood Park is in Inglewood (always up to no good) too Ghetto for me after dark.
The Bicycle is OK and has a fun and profitable $80nl game, but Commerce is home. |

Re: LA Poker rooms
For a taste of HP, look up Private Joker's post, I believe it was titled, The French Guy. That's why unless I am "in the 'hood" for some other reason I play Commerce. (Biggest table selection, too.)
Hey Sternroolz, the 405 was actually wide open Thanksgiving morning. I arrived early in OC because I PLANNED to spend at least some time on the 405 parking lot. It was WFO for the first time in this millenium. |
