2 Hands against smart LAG
Villain is the same for both hands. A bit loose preflop, but no idiot. Stats are 30/12/5 over about 90 hands or so.

Re: 2 Hands against smart LAG
On a minraise I usually just push it right there for hand number 1. Or maybe i'm just a donk.
Hand #2 all in he seems to like his hand. |

Re: 2 Hands against smart LAG
Yes, push on hand 2. There are cards that may kill your action if you try to get fancy and call.
You may want to change your title, the guy seems like a donk to me. Minraises the flop, then bets 1/3 the pot on the turn? That's weird to me. |

I think QQ is a marginal over-pair to try the stack-a-donk line, but given that you called the flop, you need to C/R the turn all-in. Edit: sorry, I'm talking about hand 1. Hand 2 is an easy push. On draw-heavy boards you want to get it all in; if he's on the draw, you need to charge him, and if he is not, then a turn [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] kills your action. |

Re: 2 Hands against smart LAG
On hand #1, I'd either reraise the flop or check/raise all-in the turn. I'm not sure which. You need to put the pressure on him.
On hand #2, easy push, he'll call with an overpair because of the flush draw out there. |

Re: 2 Hands against smart LAG
hand 1: wow just realized we are pretty deep. i was going to say 3bet flop or c/r ai on the turn, but with these stacks, yuck. i am torn between c/r-ing big on the turn (as his most likely holdings are A9/pp trying to raise for information/TT/etc) or c/c-ing weakly as you did. in the heat of the moment, i probably would puss out and just c/c turn and c/c river as you did (given the A on the river). although i do think we are missing some value somewhere in the hand (trying not to be results oriented).
hand 2: push all day long. |

Re: 2 Hands against smart LAG
Thanks for all the responses.
Hand#1 C/r the turn was definitely what I intended on doing, but his $15 into a $42 pot threw me for a loop and for some reason and I no longer wanted to play a big pot with QQ. Hand #2 I was actually really concerned when he practically minraised me back. Seems akward for an overpair to play like that. Regardless, I was not folding, as this easily could be AA or KK, pushed, and got called by a set of 10s. Forgetting about the results for a moment, I think a push is correct here. I don't want to lose his action if he has an overpair and a diamond hits the turn. |
