Freeorolls suck on FTP from what I hear when he is on the Pokeredge. Bodog has one where you can win over 200 dollars. Also it took him 6 months to get over 100 dolalrs playing full time. He didnt have a job or anything

Right, but he was observing strict bankroll guidelines, so there was no "taking a shot at the big time" on his micro-roll. That's why it took six months to get to $100.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you look at his rules he makes exceptions for the microlimts

Even on a larger size roll you really don't want to go over a 5% max total bankroll (BRx.05) for SNGs / Ring Games. Max 2.5% (BRx.025) for MTTs. Both roughly keep you are 40 MTT buyins or 20 buyins for SNGs / Ring Games. Use this same formula to know when to "move up" or "down" levels.

Unless of course, you are "taking a shot" and thats a whole 'nuther topic then.

It's pretty sick that he managed to do this on FTP... the first few months must have been painful. Finally winning that elusive $2 prize, then losing it in 5 minutes at a cash game... ouch.

It would have been much, much easier at a site with bigger freerolls like Bodog. I play their freerolls once in a while and run into the occasional $5-10 payout, which is so much easier to start a roll with. Even managed to win the 1k freeroll for $262 once.
