Default Another example of silly religious influence

Short article linked below. Summary: Citizens are refusing a new passport, because they think the barcode contains signs of the devil. Not a huge deal, but in general this inconveniences everyone and increases costs by forcing the government to maintain two systems. They're refusing other products as well, which increases costs to private companies, in turn increasing consumer prices. I'm sure it has other effects, such as annoying the non-brain-dead among us.

EDIT: It's unclear to me whether or not they are actually maintaining 2 systems. It's possible that these people are merely screwing themselves, which would please me.
