Which blind structure is better?
I live in Japan and there are two poker clubs that play small stakes tournaments. Usually maybe 15-20 people play in a tournament. The annoying thing is that the blind structures for both are really fast and quickly turn into an all in fest but I was wondering if you could help me figure out which structure is better.
Tournament A: starting chips: 1500 round length: 10 min 1R 25-50 2R 50-100 3R 75-150 4R 125-250 5R 200-400 6R 300-600 7R 400-800 8R 600-1200 9R 1000-2000 10R 1500-3000 11R 2500-5000 12R 4000-8000 13R 6000-12000 14R 10000-20000 15R 15000-30000 16R 20000-40000 Tournament B: starting chips: 2000 round length: 15 min 1 50-100 2 75-150 3 125-250 4 200-400 5 300-600 6 400-800 7 600-1200 8 900-1800 9 1500-3000 10 2500-5000 11 4000-8000 12 6000-12000 13 10000-20000 14 15000-30000 They also both allow rebuys (no addons). Tourney A is the first hour (6 rounds) and tourney B is for the first 6 rounds also (90 min). Another question, is there any point of rebuying after the first few rounds when you only get something like 2 or 3x the big blind? Also is there some kind of formula you can use to determine which blind structure is "slower?" |
