Illegal to use Visa to dep on Pokerstars?

I just signed on and saw that I can dep though a credit card. Isn't that exactly what the legis banned??! Is there any liability for me if i do it or only for the bank/credit card?

wasn't there a court ruling saying that people couldn't claim their poker gambling debts were not collectible by credit card companies? poker was not prohibited like sports gambling with the wire act.

I don't know about Stars, but i used a credit card to fund a Prima account recently.

I'm sure its possible, I just want to know if I would be breaking a law by doing it or just the site?

You are not breaking any laws by using a credit card....

I was told on Sturday via a phone call to Ub's cashier dept. that you COULD give them your Visa info over the phone and they would make the deposit.

Re withdrawals, at Ub the only way to withdrawal I was told was..

1. Their check, takes @ 3 weeks.

2. Epassporte

3. A request for Western Union

4. A request to put it back on the Visa etc.

Not trying to be a funnyman, just saying if you ask a question like you did, you should save your money and not play poker. IMO you would probably lose your ass.
