100NL 6m: overs + NFD + gutshot on turn facing PSB
Villain is unknown, since I'm taking a shot for the first time. So I'm probably a little bit too wary of sticking in my stack right now... should I play this more aggressively? Can I call turn?
By the way, if he's paying attention, he saw me repop a CO raiser (TAG I knew from 50NL) the first hand. I took it down preflop. fold could be drawing dead u dont want to get involved on the river aswell if a J or A hits

Re: 100NL 6m: overs + NFD + gutshot on turn facing PSB
I think you played it fine. Next time bet a little more on the flop, $9 or $10. It's not a huge issue by any means, I just dont like betting less than 70% pot on the flop.
As played, flop call and turn fold are standard, but you can consider 3betting the flop if you feel it is called for (IE hes been min raising a lot of flops or you feel he will fold a lot, etc). -Tickner |

I would bet more on the flop and shove over his raise.

Re: 100NL 6m: overs + NFD + gutshot on turn facing PSB
I dont think there's FE in flop shove I think he calls with almost any overpair (which im 95% sure he has). Good c/f on turn. The problem with calling the flop is, against hand like 88-TT (which i think he has), will u get paid off later if u hit ur overs? Will he pay u off if u hit ur club flush if he's solid? IMO, you're not comfortable enough to take a shot at 100nl YET. I think you played this hand somewhat nitty- i like turn fold tho. Against solid opponent, since he didn't reraise you preflop, sometimes I would gamble and shove flop or fold, simply b/c if u catch up u wont get action (i could c him having 99 or TT here, and ur a small fav on flop only) If A, J, or club comes, against solid opponent, only way u can get some $ out of the hand is getting it in on flop as 55-45 fav vs mid pair or folding (b/c if u call and catch up he's probably folding).

I'm getting direct odds to see the turn. No way I'm folding the flop.
