AA pt 1
all unknowns, but sort of a LAG to LAP table.
i limp A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]UTG, 4 calls, sb completes, bb raises, i 3bet, fold, call, fold, call, fold, bb calls. Flop: T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] bb bets, i raise, folds to bb who 3bets, i cap. Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] bb checks, i check . |

Re: AA pt 1
LRR...LOL
I don't like the check. You are drawing to the nut flush, and could have the best hand. what the heck do you put an unknown on raising from the BB and not capping in a huge pot to a limp reraiser? |

Re: AA pt 1
I don't like this check either James. Pot's too big to get fancy, imo.

Re: AA pt 1
Forgot to raise preflop. Also, semi-possible-bluff the turn.

[/ QUOTE ] Well it's a semi-bluff because he could take it down, and could improve, but then again he could just plain have the best hand right now. Just bet. How are you lost, it's the same thing you recommended. |

Re: AA pt 1
You know many will not like your limp, but you're savvy enough to have done this on purpose, so I won't say any more. Flop is standard, your preflop deception worked, but you get reraised, so you cap for a free card. On the turn you take the free card. On the river you decide based on what the river gives you.

Re: AA pt 1
*Grunch*
I do not like this check at all! You lose value from a bare diamond... It looks like he has an overpair to the board. Even if he raises you have a bunch of outs, assuming you aren't good still. Non Grunch: I'm raising preflop, but, then again, I never LRR. I don't mind the LRR too much, but you do define your hand more than simply raise-capping. Anyway, on certain tables (nonthinking aggressive players) it is probably more +EV. You were there, and I wasn't so I'll reserve judgement. |
