[ QUOTE ]
Quote - The KGC was set up by Norton. It did nothing while players were cheated.

One of the detectives here called the KGC and reported that he was pleasantly surprised by how seriously they seemed to take his report of cheating. He said they not only asked many questions but asked the RIGHT questions. Soon after that the KGC ordered an independent investigation.

[/ QUOTE ]

So the KGC answered the phone after months of allegations and that excites you? Where was the KGC months ago when the allegations were first made? Why wasn't the KGC informed by a company it licensed had serious allegations of a compromised system? Now that Absolute Poker has admitted their system is compromised and players were cheated, why hasn't the KGC pulled Absolute Pokers gambling license until it can verify the system security has been restored?

I'll tell you why. Because the KGC isn't a casino licensing organization, it's a front for poker companies to put fake seals of approval on their sites. Effectively the KGC is just a check cashing operation for the tribe.

[ QUOTE ]

I am not aware of a single instance of misbehavior attributed to the KGC other than they permit gambling on their reservation, contrary to the view of the government of Canada. The Kahwanake point out that they are an independent nation, pursuant to an agreement with the French surrounding them in the seventeenth century, and can permit or not permit gambling on their own land, no matter what Canada thinks about it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Spare us the tale of the noble Kahwanake nation that's minting money off of a fraudulant gaming enforcement seal. It's beyond misbehavior by the KGC, it's no behavior by them. They've done nothing and will in all likelyhood do nothing other than put a stamp of approval on a questionable "audit". In your previous post you asked if I would trust a casino run by Bill Clinton. Not if Bill setup and controlled the staffing of it's regulatory agency, and especially if that agency had never enforced a single action other than cashing checks from casino's it "regulated".

In the real world, real gaming regulators enforce rules, proactively research claims of fraud and cheating, and require their licensed casinos to operate under gaming guidelines in how they handle customer money, run games, and treat customer complaints. And they demand casinos report customers claim of theft/fraud to them in a timely manner. Or the casino will no longer be licensed.

In this case, the best that the KGC can say is we didn't know because we don't do anything and we don't want to know anything.

And since it's clear you are associated with the KGC, the Kahwanake tribe, Joe Norton, or the scumbags at Absolute Poker. If it's one of the first two, I suggest you tell the KGC to issue an immediate press release saying

a) Absolute Poker's license is immediately suspended and demanding they immediately cease all poker games and return all client funds until their license is restored.

b) The suspension should remain in force until such time as the KGC can directly verify that the wrong-doers have been identified, removed from any positions of influence, that all evidence has been turned over to prosecuters, and that all systems are made secure from further contractor/employee tampering and a system of KGC monitoring to ensure that future clients are protected from fraud and cheating.

c) And lastly, that any refusal or inability by Absolute Poker to consent to any one of these conditions in a reasonable time and manner should result in permanent revocation of their license.

Those are the only actions that would make the KGC a valid gaming authority. But you and I know that it isn't one and never will be. Aren't the KGC guys probably sharing an after dinner cigar with their former/current boss Joe Norton right now?

Do they (Gambling 911) really just rip off news items from poker forums and other news sources? Why do they even need an office?

[/ QUOTE ]

Gambling911 is a rumor rag of the worst sort, terrible spelling and even worse fact checking. Although they were the first place to report the indictment of NETELLER's founders.

Any corroboration anyone has that would verify Wikipedia's claim that the Quebec Provincial Police are now involved and have an ongoing investigation?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolute_poker

This could imply many things if so, imo, but mostly that at least a look for charges being made is being investigated by authorities other then their OWN governing boards, and potentially legal ones. And if this is the case, Quebec is a long was from Costa Rica.

Has AP acknowledged anything about the cheating in the cash games? It seems they have only refunded for the tournament, and not admitted anything to the cash games.

But have they actually admitted anything to the cash games? They've said in print cash game reimbursement is on its way?
I may have missed it...
