Re: very basic rebuy question
Eh 10% is standard not really a ripoff. Now the 5+1 SNGs on Party, however...
And live tourneys usually rake more than 10 percent. |

Re: very basic rebuy question
It may not be a rip-off, but it's certainly a better deal to only pay $1 rake every time on a tournament I probably average $50+ in buyins.
I've always assumed this reason is why the 109r is so popular among the HSMTT regulars. |

Re: very basic rebuy question
Yeah that's really all I'm saying. I can't consistently say the 10% rake is a ripoff since I'll willingly pay it as long as a better offer isn't available, and the rebuys are only offered at specifically scheduled times. But less rake = good.

Re: very basic rebuy question
meh, I'd gladly pay $15 rake for any of the $215 fos than $5 or 9 for the $50 or 100 rebuys...

I always assumed the main reason pros love rebuys is that a lot of people don't know how to play them. Anyway I agree that less rake is good, just saying 10% is pretty standard so the term "ripoff" doesn't really fit. |

Re: very basic rebuy question
paradise used to rake the entire prize pool in rebuys, which effectively raked the rebuys, luckily that site is kaput
