Girls have a VERY HIGH FLAKE FACTOR. This is just the way things are. This is like 200% true for the internet.
Don't worry at all. Try to be more confident though...saying you are a downer probably means that is being communicated to them even before they actually meet you. I have read a ton of your posts before you left STT and I never thought you were a downer. I thought you were very smart, funny, and a bit edgey. Basically we've been talking alot over Myspace (she doesn't have AIM which is like...impossibly to conceive), and she said she'll be free Saturday night so I could should give her a call if I want to do something. I don't see it as being a backup plan. Also, she looks like a genuinely nice person, unlike the last one who looked like she was possibly crazy. You know the type. Well, you, Scott might not, but the rest of you do.
