the reason he talks so much is probably because he's a huge donator, and if someone tells him to STFU he might not play anymore

Things you may not know about Alan "Boston"

1. His last name is Dvorkis
2. He is a regular on Las Vegas Radio for his College Basketball picks and can be heard recently on AM 1460.
3. He is one of Howard Lederer's good friends
4. He is a smart, interesting, funny guy away from the table

I love how Howard Lederer calls Gobboboy a freak and strange, and passes on sponsorship because of that, but sponsors Alan "alopecia universalis" Boston...yeah, he's obviously a good pick Howard, look at all the love he's getting.

[censored] idiots at FTP.

[/ QUOTE ]

There is a massive list of horrible and completely unmarketable FTP players. It seems like being friends with the right people is massively more important than poker skill/marketability though.

Stars decided they want to target certain demographics with their advertising and FTP apparently decided they were just going to stick FTP hats on anyone who was friends with Howard Lederer. Awesome.

edit: lol didnt see matt savage's post above me and just assumed Alan and Howard were friends. Shocking...

That show was painful to watch. Boston and Gold have to be the most annoying poker combo ever.

Boston was made a 3-2 favorite in the winner-take-all event. Boston and Leroy's combined to put up $30,000. Crow is backed by betnine.com for $20,000.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know much about sportsbetting, but would he even have a 3-2 edge against completely random selections.

Yet Ungar dies from it and he lives on. What an unfair world.

what are you talking about? I live in Vegas and and from all accounts Ungar was well known as a huge douchebag too.

Clearly, this makes you an expert on the subject matter.

the dude is a certifiable freak. there was a thread on 2+2 a while back where he was going absolutely apeshit in the FTP chat when some donk sucked out on him at low or midstake stud table. he was threatening the guy and verbally abusing him pretty bad.
