Re: The Sexiness of a Lag - Little Theory/Article Xposted
i still think its kind of an over romanticized stat, just like most stats. yes, its good to be agressive and take every opportunity you can to pick up money, but W$WSF is still heavily tied to vp$p whether you do that or not.
i played a couple of sessions last month where i was just horsing around and ran with a vp$p of something like 36. in those sessions, my W$WSF over 50. was it because: a) people suddenly feared me b) i suddenly became a better and sexier player c) most of the time my hand was a fukn trainwreck, so all i could do with it is either bluff with it or fold it a TAG with a W$WSF of 48 would probably be a losing player, because they wouldn't be showing down medium strength hands often enough, which they will have a much higher percentage of the time than a LAG will. |

[ QUOTE ] ROFL Slider you don't have a clue [/ QUOTE ] Always nice to see such well argumented posts. @Wolfram: thats the point, at the turn you have huge fold equity. If you do it with nice draws, you got decent pot equity too. Also you gotta do it when you are deeper. AND it helps balancing your range. If you only C/shove turns with huge hands then it becomes pretty much snap fold for villains who pay attention. Someone who executes this well is really tough to play against. [/ QUOTE ] ALWAYS NICE TO SEE PEOPLE USE WORDS THAT DON'T EXIST LOLOL argumented hahahahaha anyways my post was a complete joke you moran |

[/ QUOTE ] The thing about tagfish is that they're going to read it and misapply it the way they misapply everything. After the 3betting craze started I get 3bet all the time when I'm probably the last person at the table that should be getting 3bet frequently. So really, your opponents that read this are gonna start c/ring you on the flop way too much and on really crappy boards for it, and you'll adjust and exploit this tendency, cause that's what we do. |

Re: The Sexiness of a Lag - Little Theory/Article Xposted
Wait wait wait. Why is the lag winning 17% more pots than a TAG w/ 48% and 41% W$WSF respectively????
EDIT: NM I think I have it. Since the lag is playing more hands and of those hands he's winning w/o showdown more then he's winning more pots than the tag. |
