Who has to show his cards first?
During a holdem showdown, which player has to show his cards before everyone else? And does this change if everyone checked on the river?

Re: Who has to show his cards first?
If it checks around, first person to check shows first.
Last person to bet or raise shows first. If a person bets/raises all-in before the river, that player shows first. ** I've heard some casinos have different rules, but the above is typically the standard. |

Re: Who has to show his cards first?
The bettor who has been called has to show first.
ie you raise, villain calls. you show. you raise, villain reraises, you call. villian shows. If everyone checked on the river isnt it from early position first ? |

Re: Who has to show his cards first?
On the river, the last player to make a bet shows first. If there is no bet on the river, the first player to the left of the button shows first.
If there is an all-in and call(s) before the river, in a tournament all players show immediately. In a cash game, the player who pushed all-in shows first whether it's right away or after all the cards are out. The caller can muck if he's beat. Note that some cardrooms have a different rule for a river that is checked around. Instead of the player immediately left of the button showing, sometimes they require the last player who made a bet to show first, even if that bet happened preflop, on the flop or on the turn. |
