Little Black Book is just Poker: The Real Deal republished under a different title. So just get The Real Deal if you don't want LGB and LBB.

As for reviews, Little Black Book/Real Deal is ok for a pure beginner. It's been a while since I read it, but from what I remember it is more of an introduction to what it is like to play (hold 'em) poker than it is a strategy book. It was still an interesting read, but what little strategy in it can be obtained elsewhere and in better quality.

I would recommend Getting Started in Hold 'em by Ed Miller if you are looking for an introduction to how to play hold 'em.

The Real Deal is a book about poker, not really a book on how to play poker.
