This is usually a way ahead/way behind situation. HOH is wrong, check the flop.

Do we really want to be inducing bluffs with KK on an A-high board?

[/ QUOTE ]

In this particular situation, if you're committed to felting the hand, then yes.

Ok, the fact that bax posted here kinda caught me off gaurd a lil bit, so I have only seen this hand from his perspective. To the op: you played this hand like a lil bitch. Your betting was totally consistant with you being deathly afraid of the ace that hit, and, I am actually quite surprised that he waited until the river to bet it. When he checks behind you on the turn you absolutely must bet the river or at the very least check/call.

note: the above analysis totally doesn't take into consideration the preflop action. this hand totally smells of QQ (which is easy to say considering, but still.)

First off, thanks for the love and support.

Second, Bax was the small blind and acted first on every street. I checked behind on the turn and he pushed the river.

Yeah, I look at it now and realize I totally f-ed up the flop bet. My thinking was, that if I bet real strong here, he would out me on a bluff and move me off of it. I figured I would put in a little sucker bet like I was trying to milk an ace king, but I should've followed up with another turn bet.

I was being very active in the early stages of this table, mainly cause I was being dealt a pocket pair every other hand for the first two levels, it was basically me or colorado in the pot, Josephy folded for the first 30 minutes straight at this table.

When he called my re-raise cold I immeadiately thought two aces, don;t know why, I acted too quickly on all streets. Then the river jack came and he moved in, i thought he made jacks-full.

At no point did i ever consider him having QQ on the end there (which by the way, is the only hand I could beat).
It was a strong move and I let it happen.

I should also add that I was surprised Bax put me on something as strong as AA or KK cause colorado raised every pot and I could reraise him with alot of holdings.

I also showed down some real crap early, it probably should of lead me to believe that Bax would play back at me, but he played so tight early that I thought he had to have it.

I am not joking when I say he folded every hand for the first 30 mins.

Ah, touche. I hate looking at hhs with a slight beer buzz. The hand plays totally different now, and I likely check behind on the flop and make a decision on the turn (which will usually include calling his turn bet in an effort to freeze him.)

I thought I made it clear that it was likely we had the best hand? What could he possibly have that has us beat besides a very unliley AK (we have two Kings) which may have been played differently PF as is.
