4/180 Challenge Tonight - Special Bounty Event!

When: Tuesday, September 4th, 2007 @ 8:00pm EST

All members must register for the next FOUR 4/180s on PokerStars AFTER
8:00pmEST (20:00 Server time). If a tournament has less than 20 regged
at 20:00 then that tournament will be the first one. I will post in
this thread when we are starting.

Cost: Please send $10 to Mooseot (Kernersville) on Stars. (Be
sure I'm in Kernersville before sending.)

High-Rollers-Side-Fun The base challenge is $10. If you want to
play for more money than that, send either $30 or $80.
- $30 gets you into the regular challenge ($10) and Tier-2 ($20).
- $80 gets you into the regular challenge ($10), Tier-2 ($20) and
Tier-3 ($50).
- Basically works like three individual challenges - same scoring,
same tourneys, same payout structure, same everything. Only difference is
the number of runners.

Scoring: Same as last week:

Missed tourney = 0 points
180-150th = 0 points
149-120th = 0.5 points
119-100th = 1 point
99-80th = 2 points
79-60th = 3 points
59-40th = 4 points
39-30th = 5 points
29-20th = 7 points
19th = 9 points
18-15th = 10 points
14-10th = 12 points
9th = 15 points
8th = 17 points
7th = 19 points
6th = 21 points
5th = 24 points
4th = 27 points
3rd = 30 points
2nd = 35 points
1st = 40 points

Wins and final 3's are HUGE in this stucture. Tie breakers go as
follows.

1st tiebreak - Total Monies Won (as a clarification, if you chop in a
4/180 (LOL) your total monies won is the $ that you chopped for, not the
place that you finished).
2nd tiebreak - Highest Finish
3rd tiebreak - 2nd Highest Finish

If tied after that it is chopped

Payout structure is the same as last week.

Payouts:
- Less than 10 = 1st-100%
- 10-19 = 1st-80%, 2nd 20%
- 20-29 = 1st-60%, 2nd-30%, 3rd-10%
- 30+ = 1st-50%, 2nd-25%, 3rd-15%, 4th-10%

Special Bounty Tonight!

$10 from the tier 1, 1st place prize pool will be given to the first
person (chronologically) to knock out a bounty for this week. The bounty
player is determined based on last week's finishing order. If no one
knocks off the bounty player, the $10 is returned to the tier 1 first
place prize pool. If you knock off the bounty player, post the HH in this
thread. The top returning finisher from last week is the bounty based
on this order:

One last question, I assume I am assigned to a tier just based on what $$ I send (being a rookie, I plan to start in the entry level).

How large of a field do we typically have for tier 1?

Last week there were 23 tier 1 entrants. Usually there are around 15-25 entrants at the tier 1 level, although I have seen as many as 30.
