Default Commerce Self Park

I have visited Commerce casino twice now. Each time, I have parked in the self-park lot around to the left, behind the casino. Is this the only self-park lot at Commerce. It seems kind of small. There are only three rows of spots to park in. I just followed the self-park signs after exiting the I-5 fwy at Washington and this was where it directed me to park.

Any other advice (besides Valet parking)?

I get the feeling you've somehow only seen part of the car park.

Yeah, the parking lot is HUGE. I suggest going in the daytime once just to check out the parking lot. Seriously. There are choice places to park depending on where you will enter.

Ok, so I exit Washington and the signs across the street say turn left on Telegraph. After turning left, I make an immediate right. Immediately after the water fountains on the right there is a Valet parking entrance and you make an immediate left into the self-park lot. Like I said it is only 3 rows of spots and it does go on for a while, but all the spots are full on Friday evening by about 7pm or so.

Am I missing another entrance? The entrance directly across the street when you exit the freeway appears to the Hotel Valet parking. Is there an entrance to another lot from there?

Thanks for your help everybody.

You have two options. #1 you can drive through the valet area. There is a HUGE parking lot over there. #2. When you get off the freeway, turn right and then get in the left hand lane. There is an entrance there also that will get you into the HUGE parking area.

And I avoid valet also. The valet at Commerce is effin horrible.

Valet at Commerce isn't any worse than Bike or the others.

You're not making an immediate right. You're passing up two or three entrances.

Just after you turn left onto Telegraph you'll see a furniture store on the right. The first entrance to the huge lot is just past that store. If you miss that, there is at least one other entrance before the fountain.

Do you play poker the same way you attempt to park?

Try to learn something about the casino/game BEFORE you get there.

PARKING at the Commerce is on 3 sides of the place.

From the sound of your OP you exit onto Washington coming from the 5 South (i.e, you are heading towards downtown LA). When you get off that ramp you have two choices, left or right. If you go left you can immediately take a right onto Tubeway which leads you to an entrance you describe where there is both VIP parking and regular parking (and yes, there are only three rows for autos).

Had you gone right at the freeway exit you travel about 150 yards and you will find a left into the main parking lot (before you get to this left you will pass some closed off areas that look like they might be entrances, they aren't). Once you take the correct left best spot when it is crowded is to stay to the right just past the far end of the Commerce. Generally that is most open and safe.

Commerce parking lot is well patrolled. Use common sense and you will be OK.

Thanks. I appreciate the help. I'm not that familiar with the area and from the graffiti on the surrounding buildings, I'm guessing I don't want to wander around too much in the dark.
