KJ pairs in limped pot
Not entirely sure about the turn play on this one. Not many hands I'm not pretty crushed by, so protection seems maybe unnecessary?....would like comments.
I believe river should have been a check-call, right? I figure he gives me a free showdown somewhere from 20 - 35% of the time? PRE-FLOP: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 1 folds, EP2 calls $0.50, EP3 calls $0.50, 5 folds, HERO calls $0.25, BB checks. FLOP (4 SB) 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] HERO bets $0.50, BB calls $0.50, EP2 calls $0.50, EP3 bets $1, HERO calls $0.50, BB calls $0.50, EP2 calls $0.50. TURN (6 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] HERO checks, BB checks, EP2 checks, EP3 bets $1, HERO bets $2, BB folds, EP2 folds, Riesa91 calls $1. RIVER (10 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] HERO bets $1, EP3 calls $1.

Hero check-raised the turn. If we check the river, villain will never bet with a worse hand, but he might have called with one if we had led into him again.

[/ QUOTE ] We c/r'ed the turn because we wanted to protect our hand aka we think we have the best hand here. EP3 just calling our raise further proves this to us. Given we think we have the best hand on the river blank, why wouldn't we bet for value here?
